Professional Certificate in Strategic Human Resources

The Professional Certificate in Strategic Human Resources is a 16-week, noncredit track in the program that covers four eight-week courses. The certificate uses a cohort-based, peer learning approach and integrates case studies for key concepts. Monthly Expert Forums are part of the curriculum with talks by specialists in the field. All aspects of the program are taught by experienced professionals. Learn more about the curriculum.

Students will begin in either the fall (late August) or spring semester and attend a virtual classroom that can be accessed from anywhere in the world. They will be joined by students in other tracks offered, such as the academic certificate and the degree-seeking Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development with a concentration in strategic human resources.

Attend from Anywhere

As a University-based program, the Certificate in Strategic Human Resources meets the rigors of academic accreditation organizations. The design of the program offers the benefits of resources available within a major university in combination with the expertise of faculty with real-world business and human resources experience. As a distance learning program, we are accessible from any point across the globe that has a strong internet connection. In other words, virtually anywhere.

Application Process

Applications for the professional certificate are accepted twice a year, enrolling in August and January. Students seeking to apply must also submit a resume, personal statement, two professional recommendations, and a non-refundable $200 application fee.

Fee Structure

The cost for the Professional Certificate in Strategic Human Resources is $7,500 for the entire certificate. Payment must be made before the first day of class begins.

Typically, employee tuition benefits programs require that academic credit is earned, so please check with your company’s tuition benefit representative if you are seeking to pay for the program with your benefits. The program is happy to provide any documentation or program plans required for review by your organization.
